Our Story

Teaching Children the Word of God Since 2004

Our Sunday School program began in 2004 with a simple and meaningful goal: to teach children the Word of God in a language they could understand and at a simple level they could relate to.

Since then, that goal has remained unchanged. We continue to present God's Word in an accessible, and meaningful way for each child.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

— Proverbs 22:6

This verse reflects the heart of our ministry. While the teachers in our Sunday School do not replace the role of parents, we seek to support them by reinforcing, repeating, and emphasising the truths that are taught at home and in church. Our aim is to present the gospel in a way that resonates with the children and helps them understand its importance.

A Personal Note

I began teaching in Sunday School in 2005. As a child, I attended an English Sunday School, and to this day I still remember the verses, songs, and gospel truths I was taught. I feel honoured to be part of this ministry. Over time, my love for these children has continued to grow, and it is truly a privilege to serve the Lord in this capacity.

How Our Sunday School Works

Our Sunday School currently has nine teachers who serve on a rotating schedule of two weeks on and four weeks off. While all classes follow the same curriculum, lessons are adapted to suit different age groups.

A typical Sunday begins with prayer and singing together, after which the children divide into three groups for their lessons. During class, we read Scripture, discuss its meaning, ask questions to encourage deeper thinking, and complete activity sheets that help reinforce the message.

Bible-Centred

Drawing from both the Old and New Testaments, always returning to redemption through Christ.

Age-Appropriate

Three groups with lessons adapted to suit different developmental stages and ages.

Special Events

Picnics, movie nights, and a major end-of-year production throughout the year.

What We Teach

Our teaching is always centred on the Bible, drawing from both the Old and New Testaments. We continually return to the central theme of redemption through Christ's atonement. In particular, we focus on:

  • The need for salvation
  • The consequences of rejecting God
  • That salvation is found only through Jesus Christ

Community & Fellowship

In addition to teaching, our Sunday School provides a space for fellowship and for building relationships with one another and with the wider church community. Throughout the year, we also organise special events such as picnics, movie nights, and a major end-of-year production.

Above all, our prayer is that each child comes to know the Lord personally, grows in their faith, and develops a desire to serve Him.
